The "stunning" Victorian-style accommodations at this wine-country inn, including rooms, cottages and specialty suites (the cabana suite features a private tented outdoor space with a fountain and rain shower), are truly impressive say fans; and while the "charming garden setting", "eager-to-please" staff and "fine, small spa" also please, the dining doesn't quite measure up to the rest.

The staff were very friendly, the garden was beautiful.

I like sheets and blankets better than quilts which are either too hot or too cold - minor gripe.

From being welcomed at check-in to the check-out time of noon we felt wonderfully rested. I found a great autobiography of Barbara Walters to read by the pool, which had a lovely temperature. The spa lady let me have tea and a cookie on arrival. The hot tub was open until 10 and it was lovely to be in there looking at the stars. The gardens have beautiful fruits, flowers and art with many seats. The breakfast was delightful and we had plenty of refills of tea and coffee. Beautiful stay with free wine tasting.

Flat screen TV fell off the wall.

Great place to stay to go wine tasting, free breakfast was great and the free wine tasting was super fun. Room was very spacious and comfy. Would definitely stay again.

The quietness of the rooms and the incredibly helpful staff.

I would have liked a little lower price.

This hotel is perfect for a romantic getaway. The staff makes reservations for any meals you want anywhere in the city and gives complete directions, even coupons. Love the location just off the square. Very close to the Sonoma Crush Festival. ...read more

Rooms were a little dated and tired.

It was delightfully charming and there were lovely surprises around each corner.

The location of our room was noisy and disrupted our sleep.

A truly lovely surprise found in Sonoma, MacArthur Place exudes charm and quiet elegance. The grounds are beautiful, with garden pathways full of surprises. The pool is a quiet oasis with lovely flowering trees providing shade and beauty. The rooms are charming and are equipped with all the amenities one would need for a pleasant stay. The hotel rooms were very nice and would have been a great spot for a romantic getaway. One review said the free breakfast wasn't very good but we thought it was excellent. The restaurant staff was very nice. Nobody was using the pool or hottub so we had it to ourselves. We didn't have time for the spa but it looked nice. The deluxe king room did not have a bathtub.
